About Baklava

Baklava is one of the most popular Turkish dessert. ‘Gaziantep Baklavası’ has a registered geographical sign, given by the Turkish Patent Institute in 2007. Gaziantep is a well known city in Turkey with various types of baklavas and baklava production techniques that have down from generation to generation over many years.

The baklava is very nutritious. The dessert first appeared in the Ottoman Empire and was presented to the elite infantry units, palace members every month of Ramadan and Eid Mubarak.

Baklava is made with over 45 layers of hand-stretched Phyllo using the finest wheat flour and premium crunchy Gaziantep pistachios nestled between the crispy thin sheets of Phyllo pastry. Our products are slow baked to achieve perfect crust before being indulged in sweet honey syrup with country ghee butter from Sanliurfa region.
